More people given priority for Covid vaccination
Another seven groups of people were given priority by the government to get Covid vaccination.
Among others, teachers, public transport drivers, construction workers, restaurant staff, couriers, property management staff and those working in supermarkets, wet markets and convenience stores can start making appointments for the vaccine from Tuesday.
With enough vaccine supply, the government decided to widen the scope of the priority groups to include these workers that are subject to a higher risk of infection, Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip told reporters Monday.
Elderly residents and healthcare workers are among those given priority when the inoculation scheme began late last month.
So far, more than two million jabs have arrived in Hong Kong.
Nine new Covid cases were reported on Monday.
